Phyllis Mandler & Gary Elden Point Scholar Mary Susman says: 

I have been a Point Scholar since 2010 and have had a wide range of experiences. I have completed different Community Service Projects each year, including helping plan a leadership camp for queer high school students, assisting a professor with her research on queer socialities, designing and leading an undergraduate course, and writing my own research paper on transgender former inmates. All scholars do different projects according to their interests. It's highly likely that the work you are already doing can count as your project.

I'd say my favorite experiences as a Point Scholar come from the connections I've built with my mentor, fellow scholars and Point staff. I truly feel like I have a whole new chosen family that is always there to support me and help me grow as a person.
