Kyle Rapiñan

Point Scholar 2009 – 2012

Kyle Rapiñan is multi-racial student who attended Northeastern University School of Law. He is a fierce community activist who fights for human rights, youth advocacy, and rethinking our traditional definition of "allyship."

Kyle is best known in the queer community for designing and shepherding a new Seattle based youth-led arts venue named Queer Youth Space. He has a strong and demonstrated passion for ending economic violence, inequity, trans* rights, and youth homelessness. He has been involved with Queer Youth Space, the Safe Schools Coalition, City of Seattle LGBT Commission, the University of Washington Q Center, and is a consultant and trainer for the NW Network of Bisexual, Trans, Lesbian, and Gay Survivors of Abuse, and Reteaching Gender & Sexuality.

Point offers mentorship, leadership development and community service training to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) students.
