Ryan Heman
Point Scholar 2008 – 2011
Ryan graduated with honors from Tufts University in May 2011 with a BA in political science and philosophy. As a long-time leader in the LGBT community, he received the Pride on the Hill Award recognizing the graduating senior who had contributed the most to the LGBT community at Tufts. Moving forward, Ryan is currently getting experience in non-profit development before entering a master's program in human rights at University College London. He hopes to one day advise Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the United Nations, and other international bodies on issues relating to LGBTI asylum seekers and all those fleeing from gender or sexual based violence.
