Lea Gee-Tong
Stanford UniversityLea Gee-Tong was born and raised in El Cerrito, California and is currently a student at Stanford University. She graduated in 2009 from Marin Academy, where she developed a passion for academics and for social justice activism and leadership. Involved in both her school community and in various local and state non-profit organizations, Lea is dedicated to examining and dismantling systems of oppression related to various identities, such as gender, sexual orientation, and race. Currently a sophomore at Stanford University, she is an investigator with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Medical Education Research Group (LGBT-MERG), a group that strives to improve the health of LGBT individuals through quantitative and qualitative research about medical curricula and current healthcare practices. |
