Pennsylvania State University
Organizational Leadership
Brandon Kneefel was raised in Detroit, MI, in a Christian household. Brandon was disowned at 16 after his parents were unable to reconcile his sexual orientation. Despite this, Brandon continued his senior year breaking track and field records, playing leads in school productions and redefining himself outside of his biological family. After high school, Brandon moved to Dallas, TX, and worked for the Resource Center of Dallas, LGBT Center. Volunteering wherever he can, Brandon has served as Secretary for the Dallas chapter of Young Stonewall Democrats of America, has interned with the Triangle Foundation, was Camping Out Host the first ever LGBT youth leadership camp, and was the Media Director for the second annual Soulforce Equality Ride a two month, nationwide mission of young adults working to end religion-based discrimination of LGBT people. He intends to continue working with GLAAD, National Mpowerment Projects, the Task Force, Triangle and Soulforce. Brandon is attending Pennsylvania State University as an Organizational Leadership major. He refuses to limit himself, as he plans to publish works of fiction and non-fiction, continually work to break into the entertainment industry as an actor, writer and producer, and work to bring the queer community global affirmation and celebration.
