Timothy O'Connell

Timothy E. O'Connell, Ph.D., is Professor of Ethics at Loyola University Chicago, with teaching responsibilities in the School of Business Administration and the Institute of Pastoral Studies. He holds a doctorate in ethics from Fordham University, as well as several other degrees. O'Connell has also served in various leadership capacities at Loyola, including as Director of Loyola’s Institute of Pastoral Studies (1982-1994), and as Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs (2004-10).

An internationally recognized expert on professional and business ethics and on the role of values in personal and corporate life, he is the author of twelve books and more than fifty articles.

O’Connell and his partner, accounting executive Larry Little, live in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago.

Point offers mentorship, leadership development and community service training to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) students.
