Jennifer Barbetta

Jennifer is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and is the Global Chief Operating Officer of Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) Portfolio Management which includes the Fixed Income, Equity, Quantitative Strategies and various Alternative Investment businesses within the Investment Management Division (IMD). GSAM currently has over $750 billion in assets under management.

Prior to assuming her current role, Jennifer was the co-chief operating officer for the Alternative Investments & Manager Selection business and the chief operating officer of the Global Portfolio Solutions business. Previously, she acted as the chief operating officer of the Private Equity Group from 2003 to 2005, having joined that team in 1997.

Jennifer serves on various IMD Divisional Committees and is an advisor to the firmwide LGBT Network. She joined Goldman Sachs in 1995 as an analyst and was named Managing Director in 2006.

Jennifer earned a BS in Finance from Villanova University where she was a Beta Gamma Sigma scholar.

She lives in Montclair, New Jersey with her wife, Victoria, and their two children.
