Welcome:

The Jan Aronson Point Scholarship

Jan Aronson Self-Portrait 2009 - Graphite on Paper

Jan Aronson is an artist living and working in New York. She and her husband, Edgar Bronfman, were introduced to Point by Jan's brother Russ who upon the death of their mother Merle, named a scholarship in her memory. Edgar and Jan are ardent supporters of Point Foundation and in 2008 Edgar gave a scholarship in Jan's name. It's an honor to be involved with this vital organization and this named scholarship gives twice: once to the scholar receiving the financial help and the other is a gift to Jan as the giver for the ability to help make a difference in a young person's life. Jan has the privilege of mentoring Ivan Bukta, a graduate student at Columbia University.

Past Awardee: Katie Fife

Point offers mentorship, leadership development and community service training to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) students.
