Chris Baker is Vice President of Information Technology for NBCUniversal, where he is responsible for the successful governance, planning, and delivery of a $100M annual portfolio of software development and hardware deployment projects and programs worldwide. He joined NBCUniversal in 2006 as Director IT Project Management and quickly expanded the role to include the corporate technology governance functions across the enterprise. Baker also serves as the Hub Leader for OUT@NBCUniversal SoCal, the LGBT employee affinity group for NBCUniversal and its parent company, Comcast, producing events, conferences and seminars for LGBT and straight ally employees.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Baker led global implementations of SAP in 6 countries for M&M Mars Inc., while living abroad in Strasbourg, France. He graduated from the University of Southern California, is an active member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, and is Lead Recruiter at USC for NBCUniversal's Operations & Technology Management Leadership programs.
Baker, who is the chair of Point's Technology Committee, has also served on the Trevor Project Board of Directors for 5 years as Technology Chair since its origin, and successfully completed 6 California AIDS Rides, the Alaska AIDS Vaccine Ride and the Canada AIDS Vaccine Ride, riding thousands of miles across North America on a bicycle and personally raising over $50,000 for vital services and programs benefitting the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center, the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and AIDS Vaccine research.
Legally married in California in 2008, Baker and his partner, Tim Smith, reside in Valley Village, California with their two Labradors, their cat and their African Sulcata Tortoise.
