Lauren D. Tapp
Event & Volunteer Manager
Lauren discovered her passion for event planning while attending Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA for her undergraduate degree in political science and history. During her time at Occidental, Lauren worked in the college’s Office of Institutional Advancement as a Student Manager for Telefund, fundraising for Occidental’s Annual Fund and planning student events to raise fundraising awareness amongst her peers. Lauren also worked in the Alumni Relations Office planning events for alumni and parents of alumni and had an internship at Kidspace Children’s Museum in Pasadena as an Event Coordinating intern, planning the annual Rosebud Parade. When she was not working, Lauren was involved in her sorority, holding the positions of Event Coordinator and Vice President and participated in volunteer projects around the Occidental community and Pasadena.
Upon graduation from Occidental College, Lauren worked as an Event Sales Manager at Alcatraz Brewing Company in Orange, CA. Later she worked at Chandler School in Pasadena as the Special Events and Alumni Relations Coordinator, planning the special events for the school’s current families, alumni, and Chandler community for three years, strengthening the Alumni Association and assisting in the school’s annual fundraising campaigns.
In addition to Lauren’s love of event planning, she also is heavily involved in non-profit organization and volunteerism and stays connected to Occidental, volunteering as a Regional Representative for the college’s Graduates of the Last Decades, Occidental’s Alumni in Admissions and the Event Coordinator of the Alpha Lambda Phi Alpha Sorority Alumni Group; she was also a 2002 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Princess.
