Jonathan Rosales

Program Director

Jonathan is a Los Angeles native who graduated from the University of Southern California with a double major in political science and gender studies. In his final year at USC, Jonathan began an internship at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation that ultimately led to him joining the organization full-time as the Media Awards Communications Associate. Eventually, Jonathan moved into the role of Entertainment Media Manager. In addition to being involved in various aspects of the GLAAD Media Awards, Jonathan oversaw the publication of GLAAD’s nationally recognized Network Responsibility Index and Where We Are on TV reports.

In 2010, Jonathan returned to school and received his single subject teaching credential in social science from California State University, Northridge before joining the Point Family in 2011. In his role as Program Director, Jonathan oversees Point's scholar selections process, scholar relations, internships, and pilot programs.

Jonathan lives in West Hollywood with his husband, Matthew, and their two adorable rescue cats, Katniss and Effie. 


Point offers mentorship, leadership development and community service training to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) students.
