Tamara Pickering

Raiser's Edge Systems Administrator

Tamara began her journey into the non-profit environment with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association as she was brought on as a seasonal employee serving as an Accounting Assistant. Little did they know her season would last over 9 years. After her short stint in Accounting, she joined the Development Department as a Database Coordinator and was quickly promoted to Assistant Database Manager. Through the skillful use of technology, she played a pivotal role in their ability to successfully fundraise. With a profound understanding of the important part information plays in fundraising, Tamara recognized there were other organizations in need of technical guidance. Thus she launched her career as an Independent Database Consultant. As a consultant she listened to the needs of fundraiser’s and empowered their database staff with the knowledge necessary to fulfill those needs.

One of Tamara’s hobbies is entertaining people. She is a former stand up comedienne and has appeared on various game shows, reality shows and television commercials. She is honored to be a part of the Point Foundation family.

Point offers mentorship, leadership development and community service training to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) students.
