Nanci M. Glogauer

Nanci Glogauer has a broad and varied background in a number of areas critical to the success of any organization. Her business career has encompassed virtually all operational and administrative functions.
In an executive position as GTE West’s (now Verizon) Area Manager of Business Sales and Sales Support she directed the sales functions and special customer events for all GTE California business sales accounts. She directed a sales force and technical and administrative support organization of 400 employees located in California, the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii. She was also accountable for sales revenues in excess of $300 million annually. In other positions as Area Manager and General Manager, Nanci was responsible for company-wide service departments where she planned and developed new product implementation and directed technical work force operations in support of over one million customers. In 1991 Nanci received the GTE Winners Circle award for outstanding major customer service performance in the top 1% of all GTE sales and service organizations.
After 23 years in the corporate for-profit world, Nanci began consulting with for-profit and non-profit organizations as well as serving on a non-profit board. She accepted the position of Executive Director for Parasol Community Foundation in January 2000 and provided oversight and management of the construction of the 33,000 square-foot community non-profit center with a construction grant of $6.6 million. Nanci led the foundation’s non-profit community collaboration efforts. Additionally, as Executive Director of the community center, Nanci served as the landlord for twelve resident non-profit agencies and over fifty community user agencies that utilized the center and worked directly with donors and community members. In this position Nanci managed an annual $2.1 million budget and worked with 12 resident and approximately 50 non-resident non-profit agencies to establish a unique community foundation collaboration as well as managed the community foundation business. Nanci was also responsible for securing donors for operational expenses, donor advised funds and was the Co-Chair of the Parasol Celebrity Golf Event for five years with event proceeds netting an average of $700,000 to $1 million each year. In 2003 Nanci received the Outstanding Community Service award from the Chamber of Commerce. For her work in the community Nanci received the Chairman’s Award from the Parasol Foundation in 2004 and in 2006 the Visionary Award from the foundation and community.
Nanci retired from her position at the Parasol Community Foundation but continued as a member of the foundation’s Board of Directors until she accepted a full time position with Point Foundation. Nanci joined the Point Foundation, a national scholarship granting organization in October 2004 as Administrative Director where she led the organization’s program functions, administration, policies and procedures, operational processes, programming and special fundraising events. In January 2007, Nanci accepted the position of Chief of Staff which she continues to hold; managing staff in New York and Los Angeles. She most recently joined the Board of Trustees of the Barton Health Foundation that supports Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe, California.
