Chris Garcia

As Conference & Program Manager, Chris manages the annual Scholar & Alumni Leadership Conference and the Regional Leadership Forums.   Chris joined Point as the Executive Assistant/Office Manager in April 2010, after an extensive administrative career in entertainment, nonprofit and finance. As the lead assistant to independent film producer Andrea Sperling, he worked on the feature films Sympathy for Delicious (Mark Ruffalo's directorial debut and winner of a Special Jury Prize at Sundance 2010), Kaboom,The Quiet, and Harsh Times. Chris was also the Office Manager in the Los Angeles office of GLAAD and the Operations Manager at Moviola Digital Education Center in Hollywood.

An avid music fan, Chris did a brief stint as a video editor for Prince at the singer's Minnesota recording complex Paisley Park. He loves attending concerts, reading music and Jacqueline Kennedy biographies, and watching Spanish-language movies.
