Claire Walsh

Corporate & Foundation Manager

Claire Walsh comes to Point Foundation from Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC), the New York-based non-profit organization providing social services to people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS. Most recently, Claire served as the Manager, Institutional Giving at GMHC, where she acted as the lead contact for corporate relationships, developing both funding opportunities and volunteer projects to benefit GMHC and its supporters. Claire was also responsible for securing corporate sponsorships for GMHC's fundraising events, including AIDS Walk New York, and during her tenure she developed a robust portfolio of highly engaged pharmaceutical funders.

Prior to her work at GMHC, Claire served as the Communications Manager for New Yorkers For Children (NYFC), the private partner to New York City's Administration for Children's Services. In her role at NYFC, Claire secured event sponsorships for two annual galas, which raised a combined $2.3 million to benefit young people in foster care.

Claire is a dedicated endurance athlete, and competes in several marathon and ultra-marathon distance running events each year. She is also deeply committed to the New York Giants. Claire is thrilled to join the Point family and combine two of her passions: LGBTQ advocacy and educational empowerment.

Point offers mentorship, leadership development and community service training to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) students.
