Approximately 150 supporters attended Point's Chicago Cornerstone event on April 10th at Center on Halsted. Supporters listened to Point Scholars Ali Abbas and Tim Bresnahan share their stories of hope and courage. Guests also enjoyed bidding on silent auction items provided by the host committee.
The Motorola Foundation granted $25,000 in support of the 2008 Leadership and Alumni Conference which will be held this year in Chicago. This gift, in conjunction with other corporate sponsorships that evening including Abbott Laboratories, Ernst & Young, Exelon, Ameriprise, PepsiAmericas and J&L Catering, as well as many dedicated individual donors, helped the April 10th event raise close to $100,000.
Board member Ann Adams and new Chicago Regent Kyle Spainhour were on hand to thank the participants and supporters of the evening.
