Welcome:

Ceceilia Allwein

Ceceilia Allwein Point Trustee

Ceceilia Allwein is a 2006 Point Scholar, who received her B.Mus. in Vocal Performance and Music Theory from New England Conservatory. She began her career as a classical vocalist, performing and producing events at Boston Center for the Arts, Douglass Street Music Collective, Radio Papesse (Siena, Italy), McGill University and Yellow Barn Chamber Music Festival.

Currently, Ceceilia works in development at Boston Lyric Opera, where she combines her love for opera with her passion for advocacy. In this role, she fosters a community of about 1,200 individuals who support opera, emerging artists, and accessible arts education in the greater Boston area through philanthropy.

As a Point Alumna and advocate for the LGBT community, Ceceilia has also been an avid participant in Point Foundation’s Boston Cornerstone. In 2007 she spoke at the Inaugural Boston Cornerstone Event, and in 2011 she served as a host committee member. In 2012 she became the first Point Alumna to Co-Chair the Cornerstone event, and helped raise over $95,000 in support of Point Foundation.

Ceceilia hopes that her example as a Co-Chair and Trustee will inspire other Point Alumni to embrace leadership roles in their own philanthropic communities.
