Ryan A. Miller

Ryan A. Miller, Ed.M., serves as Associate Director for Campus Diversity and Strategic Initiatives at The University of Texas at Austin. In his role, he works with constituencies across campus on strategic planning, diversity education initiatives, campus climate incident response, and creating UT-Austin’s first institutional diversity plan. Previously, Ryan directed the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Resource Center at the University of North Florida, where he also served as an adjunct faculty member in education, designing and teaching Intergroup Dialogue courses. He received his master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and bachelor’s degree in journalism cum laude from The University of Texas at Austin, both as a Point Scholar, and is currently pursuing a PhD in educational administration at UT-Austin.

Ryan has served as the founding co-chair of the LGBT Network of the Ex-Students’ Association of The University of Texas (Texas Exes), as a member of the Board of Trustees of Point Foundation, and as a member of the Board of Directors of Oasis, the GLBT Center of Northeast Florida.

Point offers mentorship, leadership development and community service training to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) students.
